Who Is Jesus — The Full Revelation
John 1:1-3, 14
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God... And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth."
Jesus is the eternal Word — coexistent with God before creation, fully God and fully man in one Person.
Colossians 1:15-17
"Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: For by him were all things created... and by him all things consist."
Supreme above all creation — the force that holds all things together.
Philippians 2:9-11
"God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth."
Supreme authority in every realm — heaven, earth, and beneath.
Isaiah 9:6
"His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace."
His names declare His nature. He is not merely a teacher — He is God in flesh.
Hebrews 13:8
"Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever."
Unchanging. The same power that healed the blind and raised the dead is still operational today.
Revelation 1:17-18
"I am the first and the last: I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore; and have the keys of hell and of death."
He conquered death and holds absolute authority over life, death, and eternity.
Salvation — The Gift of God
John 3:16-17
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
Salvation originates from God's love — received by believing, not earned by doing.
Romans 10:9-10
"If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."
Heart belief and mouth confession. The spoken word is essential.
Ephesians 2:8-9
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works."
Salvation cannot be earned — it is entirely God's gift received through faith.
2 Corinthians 5:17
"If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."
Not rehabilitation — regeneration. A brand new species of being.
Romans 8:1
"There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus."
Complete freedom from guilt, condemnation, and spiritual death.
Salvation Prayer
"Lord Jesus, I acknowledge I am a sinner and need a Savior. I believe You died for my sins and God raised You from the dead. I confess: Jesus Christ is Lord. I receive You into my heart right now as my Lord and Savior. I am born again. I am a new creation. I have eternal life. Amen."
